Telegram for teams: how to work together without drowning in chat

For many teams Telegram is the office. Ideas, deadlines, tasks and quick voice-message meetings all happen there. The trouble starts when the work grows beyond a couple of tasks and agreements begin to sink into the chat:
– "Did you do the task we talked about last week?"
– "Which one?.."
– "The one after we discussed the logo!"
At this stage it's too early for a full tracker, but a plain chat is no longer enough. You need something in between, and it can live inside Telegram.
Why a regular tracker doesn't always fit
Trello, Notion and Jira are good tools, but for a small team that already lives in a messenger they bring their own costs:
- They take time to roll out. Everyone has a different background, and someone always needs a walkthrough.
- You switch constantly between the chat and the tracker, and what isn't in the same window drops out of the flow.
- You have to manage logins, passwords and permissions.
Turning the chat into a task list
iTasker is a Telegram bot with a mini app. Add it to a group and link the group to a project, and the chat becomes a source of tasks:
- Reply to a message with
/new, and it becomes a task in the project. The task keeps the context it came from. - Assign a task to a colleague. In the command you can mention a project member, and it's worth checking the assignee field in the card afterwards.
- Set a due date, a reminder or a recurrence.
- Sort tasks by projects, tags and statuses, and see them on a board in the mini app or in the web version.
- Look at completion statistics in the web version.
An example
You write in the group chat:
/new @vasya Build the landing page by Friday
The task appears in the project with a due date, a status and, if the name matched a project member, an assignee. It's visible in the mini app, and the bot reports in the chat when it is created and completed.
Who it suits
- Small and medium teams and startups that discuss everything in chats.
- Designers and developers who agree on work in messages and voice notes.
- Freelancers who work with contractors and assistants.
- Anyone who is tired of writing "did you do…?".
The team stays in Telegram and doesn't need a new system or extra logins, and each agreement ends up as a task with an owner and a date.
